Travel InfoMost international flights arrive at Sheremetyevo II Airport (SVO) (phone: +7 495/956-4666 or 495/578-0101) and Domodedovo Airport (DME) (phone: +7 495/323-8565). Transfers Between the Airport & TownBus & Train City transitions are serviced by municipal buses from Sheremetyevo II airport to subway station Rechnoy Vokzal with buses leaving every 15-20 minutes. Then, it takes about 25 minutes to get to the center by subway. Sheremetyevo II airport has no train connection with the city. Domodedovo is the easiest airport, with an express train connecting it with Paveletsky train station which is essentially the center of the city. There is also a bus service connecting the airport with Domodedovo subway station. For more details see official transportation page of Domodedovo airport. By TaxiThe arriving traveler is greeted by a vast crowd of people offering personal services to get one to the city. Unfortunately these taxi drivers are often dangerous and at best are dishonest. It is very wise to steer clear of them. You can easely pre-arrange a legal taxi to meet you at the arrivals and take you to the hotel. Most hotels will provide airport transfers (for a fee) upon request by prior fax (which you should make sure is confirmed). Here are some taxi services you can use:Moscab, 1300 rubles/38 EUR, tel. 7 (495) 981-08-81. You can find service office in the arriving area of both airports. Gema Group, from 1200 rubles/35 EUR (depending on the car), tel. +7 495 790-790-0, email "GOTORU" taxi service, from 26 EUR, (depending on the car). Tel. +7 (495) 101-3556 (see also on-line booking form on the web site) If you have not pre-arranged ground transportation and you do not want to deal with the taxi situation, the Intourist Office in the arrivals area of the airport will be of great help. You can rent a car there or just take a car with a driver. How to reach Space Research Institute (IKI) in MoscowSpace Research Institute (IKI) is located in the south-west region of Moscow. The best way to get to the institute is to take a subway (see guide). You should get off at "Kalyzhskaya" subway station using the southern exit. After leaving a station lobby through glass doors you should go straight to the end of the tunnel, then take right and use the stairs to get to the surface. From this point you should follow the arrow on this map. |
