General informationRussian-Turkish 1.5-m Telecope (RTT150) is the international project carried out under supervision of the Ministry of Education and Science of Russian Federation and the Scientific and Technological Reseacrh Council of Turkey (TUBITAK). From the RF side the main executing participants are Kazan State University (KGU) and Space Research Institute of Russian Academy of Sciences (IKI), from the Turkish side -- TUBITAK National Observatory (TUG) (see also here). In accordance to the agreement between the participants of the project, the telescope observing time is shared in the following proportion: 45% - KGU, 15% - IKI, and 40% - are shared between the Turkish universities trough TUG. One of the main scientific tasks of the telescope is to provide ground support for the space projects in the area of high energy astrophysics, in the first place -- INTEGRAL and SRG observatories. |
