Our journal got the MAIK/NAUKA award
for the best publication in 2007 !!!

MAIK/NAUKA commended by this award the series of papers by D.D.Frederiks, S.V.Golenetskii, V.D.Palshin, R.L.Aptekar, V.N.Ilyinskii, F.P.Oleinik, E.P.Mazets, and T.L.Cline "Giant outbursts from magnetars and their possible connection with short gamma-ray bursts" (Astronomy Letters, 2007, v.33, pp.3-21 and pp.22-28).

Annual competitions for the best publication are held by MAIK/NAUKA since 1995 and involve more than 100 scientific journals. There are 50 Awards in different fields (each amounting 1000 USD) and 4 Grand Awards (amounting 12500 USD).
