Moscow is a great metropolis with the very rich cultural environment, so the Organizing Committee does plan to provide participants with а possibility to visit some of the most interesting places as a part of official cultural program of the conference.
Due to a very tight schedule of the scientific sessions, the cultural program is planned on the weekend before the start of conference (i.e. June 15) and after the end of it (i.e. June 21 and 22).
1. The Moscow Kremlin Museums
The complex of Moscow Kremlin is certainly the main must-see sight for the participants visiting Moscow for the first time. It is located at the heart of the city next to the Red Square and Saint Basil's Cathedral and includes a number of palaces, cathedrals and museums.
Among the museums we plan to visit area) The Armoury Chamber
The Armoury Chamber preserves ancient state regalia, ceremonial tsar's vestments and coronation dress, vestments of the Russian Orthodox Church’es hierarchs, the largest collection of gold and silverware by Russian craftsmen, West European artistic silver, ceremonial weapons and arms, carriages, horse ceremonial harness.
The adult ticket price is 350 rub. Expected duration of the excursion is about one hour.b) The Moscow Kremlin Diamond Fund
This is one of the richest collections of the gems, jewelry and natural nuggets in the world. It also contains seven historical gems and the Imperial Crown of Russia.
The adult ticket price is 500 rub. Excursion duration: 40 minutes.
The maximum number of people for these excursions is 40 per day.
2. The State Tretyakov Gallery
The State Tretyakov Gallery possesses a unique collection of Russian art which includes masterpieces which span a period of a thousand years.
The adult ticket price is 400 rub. Excursion duration: 2 hours. The maximum number of people on the excursion per day is 30.
3. Novodevichy Cemetery
In addition, there will be an opportunity for interested participants to visit the Novodevichy Cemetery where Yakov Zel'dovich is buried.
