Telescope mountHour axis whose southern (bottom) end is ball-shaped leans on the heel fixed in the ground part of the southern base. Limits of precise alignment of telescope hour axis are +/- 1o on latitude and azimuth with 1" sensitivity for both mechanisms. To protect the telescope from possible seismic affects the couplings are provisioned which fix the telescope mount to the grounded parts. Mount has changeable current lines of the hour and declinations axes. The design provides a possibility to replace them without disassembling the telescope. There is a special large aperture in the body of hour axis closed by detachable cover. The yoke base with declination axis drive has pinning element which allows to fix the telescope tube in horizontal and vertical positions. This is necessary to protect the gear of declination axis from hits and shakes during the change of secondary mirrors or during removal/installation of main mirror cell. Control of the pinning element is performed from the telescope control station. It can only be switched on when the telescope is in the above noted positions due to existing blockings in its drive. The counterweight is placed from the opposite side of the yoke which serves to balance the rotating parts of the telescope along hour axis. |
